Verify a credential

Anyone can check any badge here.

A Verified Bitcoin Employer badge is only worth trusting if you can look up the record behind it yourself. This page is where that lookup happens.

Status: founding cohort under review

The live credential lookup arrives with the founding cohort. Reviews are underway now, and each employer's record appears here the moment its review completes. Until then, this page explains exactly what you will find once it does.

What a credential record shows

Every completed verification publishes the same fields, so you never have to take a badge on faith:

Employer

The legal or trading name the review covers, matched to its public profile.

Credential ID

A unique identifier assigned at approval, so a specific badge always points to a specific record.

Claims reviewed

Which of the six signals were in scope, each with the evidence type behind it: primary documentation, direct confirmation, credible reporting, or public dataset.

Reviewer date

The date the review was completed, not the date the employer first claimed the signal.

Expiry

Verified status lasts one year from the reviewer date. The record says plainly when it lapses.

Current state

One of Researched, Claimed, Verified, Stale, or Disputed, defined in full on the methodology page.

Specimen record

Below is a specimen showing the shape of a real record. No employer is attached to it, and it is not a live credential.

How to read the badge

Anyone can check any badge here, whether you found it on a careers page, a job posting, or an email signature. Search or paste the credential ID and the record above is what should come back: the exact claims reviewed, the evidence behind them, and the date they were checked.

A badge that does not resolve to a record on this page is not ours. Treat it the same as any unverifiable claim.
